New York style pizza is far and away my favorite but there aren't many places in the St. Louis area that offer it. I have been wanting to try East Coast Pizza for quite awhile and had the chance to stop in this past weekend. My boyfriend and I each did the lunch special with 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $9. We also got an order of garlic knots.
The space is great for fast casual food and they have a great beer list for what I would have expected for a pizza joint. As far as the slices go, I did not enjoy them. The cheese had that rubbery processed taste and texture to it and the sauce was overloaded with oregano. The pepperoni was not great either - small pieces that were thick and chewy. My boyfriend had a slice of their "toasted ravioli pizza." I don't know how they advertise it as such because there was no red sauce, no meat - it was essentially a dry cheese pizza with breadcrumbs on top.
I'd rate this pizza a 5 for East coast style pizza. Not something I'd return back for, unfortunately. -

Decent pizza. The crust was a little too thin for my taste, but the edges were nice and crispy - which I love.
I had the BBQ Chicken pizza. There were a decent amount of toppings, but I felt there was too much BBQ sauce which made the soft, thin crust completely soggy. My kids had pepperoni and shockingly said 'the cheese was too cheesy,' meaning that it was making everything on their pizza soggy as well.
Still, they both had good flavor. If the crust was a couple millimeters thicker it would have been perfect. -

This little gem found in Chesterfield Valley really Jr the spot. My wife and I used to live in the east coast and we always appreciated the unique taste of the the food. Our pizza from this place really got the nostalgia going.

For me, doesn't get better than a hot slice of pie and cold brew! Been coming here for years either with sports teams or my family. Have always enjoyed their friendly service and good pizza! Plus they have a nice craft beer selection and garlic knots are also a winner!
Today I was eating solo, so just ordered a couple custom slices "my way"; one with sausage, onion and mushrooms, and one with pepperoni and meatball. Both were served hot out of the oven, and I added some red peppers and Parmesan for extra flavor. Always liked their crumbled Italian sausage, but the meatballs were also crumbled, not chunky or flavorful as I might've expected. But overall, it hit my craving, plus pizzas included traditional Italian cheeses on top, not Provel like many local St. Louis pizzerias serve.
I also like their specialty pizzas; they are consistently good, especially the meat pizza with pepperoni, bacon, meatball and sausage! I ordered a "to go" order for a concert party recently, which was perfect for tailgating!
Bottom line, if you want a quick and satisfying pizza meal, stop in at East Coast when in Chesterfield!
